History of Quiet Noise
At the most recent Quiet Noise (the annual backyard show focusing on un/low amplified experimental music), there was discussion over the traditional veg biriyani about how many events there had been, what had happened during COVID, who played when and with whom. Ernie Althoff thinks he has been to all of them except one, and he praised the consistent quality of the series over the years. I struggled to remember some details, so decided to go back through the archives and pull some details together.

Interested and non-interested parties gather at a certain location on a certain date and time, but what is not certain is what may occur and who is or is not participating. What makes this occasion an event and what is it to participate ? Does this mean that whoever happens to be present at that location at that time is a participant in an event marked by the specifics of time and place ? What separates the location and the start and end times from adjacent locations and times ? Where and when precisely are the boundaries of place and time ? Who is cleaving time and place and for what purpose ?
Of the co-occurring actions, stories and trajectories jostling en route which one(s) constitute the specified event INTERSECTION ?
Propositions for a start to speculative performance.

This Will Be My Last Test – performance documentation
This Will Be My Last Test

Let us guide you on a journey through the narrow space between two walls, two meanings, between bodies both corporeal and ephemeral, words repentant and accusatory.
This Will Be My Last Test – a projection, installation and performance work by Clinton Green & Carolyn Connors, part of the West Projections Festival.
The installation will run from 6:30-8pm each night, with two short performances in the alleyway nightly at 7:15 and 7:45pm. West Projections are also running guided walks earlier each evening that will incorporate a performance (these walks require bookings and have a fee).
The installation features video performances by Chun-Liang Liu, Michael McNab & Emma Riches.
FREE – NO BOOKINGS NECESSARY
