Formerly recording under the moniker of Undecisive God, Clinton has been a mainstay of Australian experimental music since the 1990s. Focussed for many years upon new approaches to the electric guitar as a sound generation tool, his current interest is in prepared turntables as dynamic generators of random sound and percussive patterns, and free collaborative improvisation.

He has released numerous recordings and has performed live around Australia, including in festivals such as Liquid Architecture, Melbourne Fringe Festival and Electrofringe. He has had commissions for installations at the Quebec City Biennial and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. In 2015, he toured Taiwan as part of Moe Chee.

He also facilitates workshops on experimental music practice and the art of listening, and has participated and curated panel discussions on topics relevant to experimental music practice.

Clinton’s releases can be purchased and/or downloaded from Shame File Music. His musical output is extensive and diverse; a good place to begin is with some audio samples on the discography page, or with these videos.
